Mrs. Mary Hite Died Here Today
Mrs. Mary A. Hite, 75, died at the home of a sister, Mrs. Abraham Wolford, 1118 North K street at 5:30 o'clock this morning of complications following several years illness.
Born, August 8, 1871 in Madison county, she was the daughter of Jacob and Minerva Derry. She was twice married. First to Sol Jones in 1901. He died in the year 1908. She later married William Hite, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Hite was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Survivors include Mrs. Wolford, at whose home she died; Mrs. Julia Fiddler, of Adrain, Michigan, sisters and one brother, Robert Derry of Elwood.
The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler funeral home where it will remain until time for the funeral services.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon from the Pilgrim Holiness church with the Rev. Edward VanBuskirk in charge. Burial will be made in the city cemetery.
