Mrs. Rebecca Hyatt, 91, of Mahopac,
widow of Robert Hyatt, died Aug. 27,
1988 in Putnam Hospital Center,
Carmel, after a long illness. She was
born Jan. 1, 1897, in Mahopac Falls,
daughter of Eugene and Lydia Brown
Head, and was a lifelong resident
of the area. She had worked as a
housekeeper in private homes. Mrs.
Hyatt attended school in Mahopac
Falls and was a member of the Red
Mills Baptist Church. She formerly
was a Sunday School teacher and
organist at the Tomahawk Chapel
in Baldwin Place.
She is survived by two daughters,
Marie Williams of Baldwin Place
and Phyllis Hotchkiss of Cassel-
berry, Fla.; 17 grandchildren;
35 great grandchildren and 5
great great grandchildren.
Burial was in Four Corners Cemetery,
Patterson.
