Mrs. John Hoag died very suddenly of heart failure at her home on the Turin road, near this city, at 2:30 o'clock on Sunday morning. Mrs. Hoag had not been well for several weeks, having had occasional fainting spells. On Saturday night however, she felt considerably better. In the night she was taken with another fainting spell and aroused her husband. He did everything possible to relieve her but she expired before a physician could be summoned. Mrs. Hoag was born In County Wexford, Ireland, and was about 45 years of age. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her.and leaves many friends to mourn her death.
Besides her husband she leaves one sister, Mrs. Johanna Meagher of Fredonia.
In the 1880 census she was living with John in Lee, Oneida Co. and her age was as 31 years old.
