William L. Kelley Dies in Chicago --

William Lee Kelley, 59, a Franklin County native, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 24, in Chicago, Illinois, after a sudden illness.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. last Wednesday at J. C. Moore and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Billy Chitwood officiated, and burial was in Mt. Garner Cemetery.

Mr. Kelley was born June 22, 1901. He was the son of the late Mark and Mary Jane Partin Kelley. He was engaged in construction work in Chicago, where he made his home.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Kelley; two daughters, Mrs. Ada Stewart, Harvey, Illinois, and Mrs. Hazel Springsteen, Oro Grande, California; two sons, Carl Kelley, Hammond, Indiana, and Herman Kelley, Highland, Indiana; four sisters, Mrs. Herbert Fraker, Belvidere, Mrs. Ada Bradford, Harvey, Mrs. Annie Arnold, Winchester, and Mrs. Johnny Beene, Chattanooga; five brothers, Murrell Kelley and Dotson Kelley, Winchester, J. D. Kelley and Raymond Kelley, both of Chattanooga, and Boss Kelley, Chicago; and 12 grandchildren.
