He was the son of Joseph Morgan and Rhoda A. (Vaughan) Kelley and married Mary Jane Partin - 16 Sep 1897 - Franklin Co., Tennessee.

His military information states his date of birth to be 04 Apr 1880. His headstone states his year of birth to be 1876. I believe the headstone is in error... In the 1880 Census, he is reported to be 3 months old.

W. M. Kelley Dies In Harvey, Illinois --

Funeral services for W. M. Kelley, 80, retired Franklin County farmer, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sims-Watson and Huffman Funeral Home. The Rev. O. P. Etheridge officiated. Burial was in Mt. Garner Cemetery, Decherd.

Mr. Kelley died Friday morning in Harvey, Illinois, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ada Bradford.

Surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. Annie Steele, Winchester, Mrs. Verna Mae Bean, Chickamauga, Georgia, and Mrs. Viola Fraker, Belvidere; six sons, Murrell Kelley, Decherd, Lee Kelley, Hageswisch, Illinois, the Rev. L. Raymond Kelley, the Rev. J. D. Kelley, and Boss Kelley, all of Hixson, Tennessee, and Dotson Kelley, Winchester; a sister, Mrs. Ed Hill, Winchester; two brothers, Charlie Kelley and Tom Kelley, both of Winchester Springs; 53 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
