He moved to Lindsay as a teenager and lived in Lindsay the rest of his adult life. Lenioel married Paula Sue Hillyer, December 31, 1971, at the United Methodist Church, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Lenioel and Paula had one son, Sim, who was the light of their world.
Lenioel loved the outdoors. He had a passion for any activity that involved being in nature. He gardened and could tell you about all trees and plants. Lenioel enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an excellent marksman. He was an animal lover and was very knowledgeable about all kinds of animals. Training dogs came natural to him. There was a softer side to Lenioel that many people didn't see, he loved to knit. Lenioel learned how to knit from Paula's mother Lillian. They'd run around together going to yarn stores when he had down time from work. He also learned to play bridge from Lillian. Lenioel was a reader and had read the Bible through. Lenioel's occupation was the oilfield. He, actually, could do anything. He was a hard worker, just ask anyone he worked beside. Lenioel had a personality to which everyone was drawn. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Lenioel is survived by his wife, Paula; son, L. Sim Barker, III and wife Brittany of Lindsay, Oklahoma; his mother, Wanda Barker, one brother, Bob Barker of Lindsay, Oklahoma; two sisters: Eileen Simonton and husband Danny and Beverly Barker both of Lindsay, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Baylee Cheyenne, Beckham Hunter and Liam Kale Barker, and by many other relatives and friends, including Staci and Mike Hall and Jaci and Kelly Webster.
