Louise was born to William and Sarah Sutton. In 1880, her parents lived in Greene Township, Parke County, Indiana. Louise was the last of five children listed in the census record. The others were Pierson, Westly, Henry and Ira. She was listed as Louisa, age 9. In 1900, she and her mother were living together in Greene Township. Her birth was recorded as August 1873. About 1904, she married the widower John Neiger. The 1910 census record shows them living in Danville, having been married for 6 years. It records her age as 36. They had a daughter, Gretchen, in 1908. By 1920, Louise was widowed as John died in 1919. She was still in Danville with her 12 year old daughter. Louise died in July 1924 leaving her daughter an orphan at age 16, but Gretchen did graduate from Danville High School the following year. Gretchen died in 1974 and is buried beside her parents.
