Anthony Curcio
RENOVO --- Anthony Curcio, Sixth St., Renovo, died at 12:30 Christmas morning. He had been in failing health for about a year.
Born in Fellito, Italy, Province of Salerno, May 9, 1896. He came to Renovo with his mother and two sisters in 1906 to join his father here.
He enlisted for World War I in Herkimer, N.Y., June 27, 1918 and was discharged from Camp Devers, Mass. on Dec. 14, 1918.
During World War II he worked as an aircraft electrician at New Castle Air Base in Delaware.
Returning to Renovo after the war he worked as a shoemaker and electrician, trades which he followed until his death.
He married the former Estella Pagnotto of Renovo in 1924. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and Sons of Italy.
Surviving are his wife, one son, John, at home; three daughters, Mrs. (Rosemary) Manuel Andrus and Mrs. (Ellen) Howard Smith, Jr., of Lock Haven, and Mrs. (Joanne) Robert Janis, Hyattsville, Md.; five grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Perinelli of Springfield Gardens, N.Y., and Mrs. Rose Necci, New York City, and nieces and nephews.

CURCIO --- Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday for Anthony Curcio, who died at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 25, 1959, after a year's ill health. The Rev.John O'Toole will officiate. Burial will be made in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Hyner. Friends may call at the Maxwell Funeral Home anytime after 7 p.m. Sunday.
