Beulah H. Culbertson PORTSMOUTH - Beulah Harrison Culbertson, 86, formerly of the 4000 block of Garwood Ave., passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 in a local hospital. Born Feb. 7, 1925 in Coeburn, Va., she was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Sadie Harrison and her husband, James Culbertson. Beulah was a retired Church of God minister; and a member of Portsmouth Church of God of Prophecy in Portsmouth. She is survived by a daughter, Terry L. Lee and her husband James J. Lee of Portsmouth; a son, James E. Culbertson and his wife Loretta Kay Culbertson of Portsmouth, N.H.; a sister, Betty Harris of N. Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Wayne Harrison of Coeburn, Va.; and a granddaughter, Donna K. Menard and her husband Rick Menard of Rochester, N.H. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. William Paramore and the Rev. Ben Fulton. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
