Mrs. Dolly E. Fischer, 71, died Tuesday at St. Marys Health Center following a long illness.
Mrs. Fischer was born Aug. 14, 1902, in Miller County, a daughter of Louis W, and Elizabeth Ray Pruitt. She was married Sept. 31, 1921 to Martin A. Fischer, who died in 1953.
Before she married, Mrs. Fischer was employed by Tweedie's. Until she retired in 1972, she worked for the Jefferson City Public School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Robert; two daughters, Shirley Vaughan and Betty Sundermeyer; two brothers, Jim and Roy Pruitt; and three sisters, Ethel Yankee, Lucille Hall and Nell Staton.
Services will be Thursday at the Houser Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
