Martin Fischer, 54, native of Callaway County, Missouri, died unexpectedly Friday morning, January 9, 1953, at his home in Jefferson City, Missouri. He had lived most of his life in Jefferson City. He died of Coronary Artery Disease. He was a carpender.

Martin was born in Callaway County, the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Frits) Fischer, who now live in St. Louis, Missouri. He was married to Dolly Pruitt in Jefferson City on September 30, 1921.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Robert Fischer of Huntington Park, California, two daughters, Miss Betty Jo Fischer of Huntington, California and Shirley Fischer of the home, four brothers, Louis and Albert, both of Jefferson City, Andrew and Charles, both of St Louis, two sisters, Mrs. Homer Graves of McCredie and Mrs. Charles Parris of St. Louis.

Funeral services on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Jefferson City The Reverand Henry Damm will officiate and burial will be in Riverview Cemetary in the Capital.
