Tom was born September 22, 1918, in Amsterdam, MT to John T. and Elizabeth (DeRuig) Kamp. He proudly served in the South Pacific during WWII in the US Navy Submarine Service, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Tom married Fenna H. Danhof on January 7, 1942. They had been married 67 years at the time of her death in 2009. They are survived by their 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
After his father's death in 1949, Tom assumed ownership and management of Kamp Implement Company in Amsterdam. After relocating the business to Belgrade in 1971, Tom developed the business into what would become one of Montana's largest Case IH dealerships.
