Mrs. Garrison died Wednesday, Sep. 13, 1989, at Memorial Hospital in Palestine after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Houston on Jan. 11, 1921, a daughter of John H. and Martha Gillam. She lived in Houston and Anderson County most of her life. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Lee "Hub" Garrison of Palestine; son, Joe Garrison of Tyler; daughters, Mrs. Don (Joan) Mays and Verneal Garrison, both of Palestine; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Schattel, Howard Konctzke, Stacy Cozart, Mike McEwen, Virgil Harris, O.G. Mack, Billy Cannon and Gilmer Parrish.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
