Services for Vivian Garrison, 68, of Palestine, TX, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Herrington/Land of Memory with the Revs. Wally Goodman and Olin Cantrell officiating. Burial will be at Guiceland Cemetery.
Mrs. Garrison died Wednesday, Sep. 13, 1989, at Memorial Hospital in Palestine after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Houston on Jan. 11, 1921, a daughter of John H. and Martha Gillam. She lived in Houston and Anderson County most of her life. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Lee "Hub" Garrison of Palestine; son, Joe Garrison of Tyler; daughters, Mrs. Don (Joan) Mays and Verneal Garrison, both of Palestine; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Schattel, Howard Konctzke, Stacy Cozart, Mike McEwen, Virgil Harris, O.G. Mack, Billy Cannon and Gilmer Parrish.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
