Services for H.L. "Hub" Garrison, 86, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Michael Mynatt officiating. Burial will be in Guiceland Cemetery. Mr. Garrison died Friday night, Aug. 30, 2002, at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He was born Jan. 8, 1916 in Salmon to Oscar Garrison and Minnie Trigg Garrison. Mr. Garrison was a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church and the Grapeland Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Before retiring Mr. Garrison was a real estate salesman with Doug Moore Real Estate for 10 years. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Garrison, in 1989; and his second wife, Lula Nation Garrison, in
2000; sister, Wandy Woody; brothers, Elbert Garrison, Eddie Garrison, and Troy Garrison. He is survived by daughters, Joan Mays of Slocum, Verneal Zogran of Denver, Colo.; son, Joe Garrison of Tyler; brothers, Devoin Garrison of Elkhart and Olen Garrison of Sabine Pass; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Olen Garrison, Devoin Garrison, Jerry Harwick, Larry Thomas, Chris Garrison, and Larry Zogran. Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
