Aunt Allie married Frank Beard on December 25, 1915 at Blakeley, Kanawha County, W.Va.


Mrs. Alma Hudnall Beard

Mrs. Alma Hudnall Beard, 90, of Box 410, Spangler Road, Pond Gap, died April 25, 1987, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Pond Gap and a member of the former Mount Zion Baptist Church, Laurel Fork.

Surviving: sons, the Rev. Woodie Beard of Mammoth, Charles and Kenneth Ray, both of Witcher Creek, Donovan of Pond Gap; daughters, Mrs. Elsie Hamrick of Cedar Grove, Mrs. Esther Ramsey of Pond Gap and Mrs. Geneva Goodwin of Charleston; brother, James Hudnall of Ward; sister, Mrs. Ruby Boner of Bridgeton, N.J.; 26 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Cook Funeral Home, Cedar Grove.

Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cook Funeral Home, Cedar Grove, with the Rev. U.G. Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Beard Family Cemetery, Spruce. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Funeral Home.
