Elizabeth “Betty” Kinder, 82, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Golden LivingCenter-Ipswich in Ipswich, SD.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2016, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, Aberdeen, with Father Russell Homic officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Elizabeth “Betty” Kinder was born on April 6, 1934, to William and Johanna (Rieger) Kinder in Aberdeen, SD.  This is the area where she was raised and attended school.

Upon graduating from Aberdeen Central High School, Betty began working as a Unit Secretary at Dakota Midland Hospital in Aberdeen. She was employed there for many years until the hospital closed. Betty became a resident of the Golden LivingCenter in Ipswich in February of 2013 and remained living there until the time of her death.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards.

Grateful to have shared in Betty’s life are her two sisters-in-law, Vonda Kinder and Marian Kinder.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Johanna; and six siblings:  Ed Kinder, William Kinder, Katherine Willett, Robert Kinder, Larry Kinder and Linda Kinder.
