Aaron Dave Hamilton, 51, of Troy went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 after long heroic battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was known to his family and friends as Superman due to how hard he fought without letting ALS interfere with how deeply he cared for others. Dave's wishes were that people who are attending his services wear a Superman shirt in his honor.

A visitation for Dave will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. His funeral service will be held at Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Salado on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Dustin Connell officiating. Cremation will take place after the service.

Aaron "Dave" Hamilton was born on January 15, 1965 in Lanett, AL to Edward and Heidi Marie Hamilton. He married Beverly Yarbrough on July 6, 1993 in California. Dave was a fork lift mechanic for most of his life. He worked at Walmart Distribution for 15 years and also for HEB Distribution/Parkway Systems for 4 years. Dave loved NASCAR, cooking, racing go carts, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was mentor to so many children. Dave was a very giving and caring man. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Edward David Hamilton in 1990; his mother, Heidi Marie Gross in 2011; his stepfather, Willy Gross in 2003; his niece, Tonia Hamilton Little in 2011.

Aaron "Dave" Hamilton is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Hamilton of Troy; his two sons, Trevor Hamilton of Burleson, and Dylan Hamilton of Joshua; his two daughters, Ashley Shook of Troy, and Katie Dunagan of Missouri; one brother in law, Santos Little of La Grange; one sister, Karin Hamilton of La Grange; five sponsored foreign exchange students, Lena Sterzer of Germany, Daniel Rubio of Germany, Arseniy Kiryanov of Russia, and Raphael Hackl of Austria, and Ele Lannini of Italy; five grandchildren, Gavin N., Chloe, Kylie, Mia, and Gavin A.

In lieu of flowers the family will accept donations to help with medical expenses. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
