Wilbur G. Brazier , 93, of Deptford, NJ passed on October 10, 2005. Mr. Brazier was the husband of the late Jean R. (nee Thomas) and grandfather of the late Gerald W. Campbell.
Born in Camden he was a resident of the area for most of his life. He had been a resident of Pitman for 40 yrs. He retired in 1977 from I.T.E. after 6 years as a Mechanical Designer. Prior to that he worked for Measurement Systems, Inc. of Turnersville for 2 yrs. Wilbur had worked for Mantua Metal Products of Woodbury Heights for 33 years from 1939-1969 making Tyco trains.
Mr. Brazier was a Navy veteran of WWII (a Chief Machinist Mate). He was a former assistant Fire Chief of Woodbury Heights Fire Company and an exempt Fireman, a member of Gloucester County Management Club, life member of V.F.W. Post 6469 of Pitman, Gloucester County Historical Society and National Rifle Assn.
He is survived by a daughter Carol Campbell of Wenonah and nieces Joan (William) Ario of Pitman, Winifred (Budd) Davis of Sewell, NJ and a nephew William J. Brazier of San Antonio, TX.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 2pm at DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 171 Delaware St., Woodbury.
