Frank L. Mumper, Sr., York Road, died this morning in the Carlisle Hospital after a lingering illness. He was 69 years old.
Born on Apr. 15, 1896, at Landisburg, he was a son of the late William and Cora Cless Mumper. He was an employee of the Federal Equipment Company until his retirement eight years ago. He was a member of the First Church of God and the Men's Bible Class of the Sunday School. He was a veteran of World War I; having served in France with Co. B, 116th Supply Train, U.S. Army.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Garlin Mumper; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Tritt and Mrs. Mary Shank; two sons, Frank Jr. and William L.; a brother, Rev. Harry Mumper; four sisters, Eva Mumper, Grace Durham, Ruth Sitler, and Mrs. Betty Garman; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street. The Rev. M.L. Schlessman, pastor of the First Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday
evening at the funeral home.
