"Mrs Caroline Watson Died Saturday Evening - Mrs Caroline Balzer (sic) Watson, widow of William H Watson, aged nearly 70 years, died at her home, 632 West Spring street, at 6:15 pm Saturday, from a stroke following an attack of acute bronchitis. She had been failing in health for more than a year, however. The deceased was daughter of Andrew and Catherine Balzer (sic) and was born in Centerville, October 5, 1867, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Mr Watson over fifty years ago. Mr Watson died in this city on March 5, 1935. The family moved to Titusville nineteen years ago and has lived in the West End most of the time, where they have a large acquaintance. Mrs Watson leaves two children, Mrs Mary Mattson and Norman Watson, both of Titusville, two grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs Anna Hagmann of 539 West 29th street, Erie, and Mrs Agnes Drake, also of Erie. A daughter, Mrs Amelia Watson Slayton, died nineteen years ago. The deceased was a member of St Titus' church from which services will be conducted at 9 am, Tuesday, with interment in St Catharine's cemetery. The body was prepared for interment at the E L Cummins funeral home, and Rosary will be said at the family home this evening at 8 o'clock."
