An employee of the Thomas Truck and Caster Co., he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the medical corps in hospitals in Ireland, England and Germany. He was a member of the First Christian church, were he was a member of the Board of Deacons. He was president of the Friendly class of the Sunday school and secretary of the union at Thomas Truck.
He is survived by his mother; three sisters, Mrs. J. Conrad (Dorothy) White, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. James (Ruth) Gates, Keokuk, Miss Betty Donnelly, Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Robert of Broken Arrow, Okla. David of Honolulu, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his father in 1957.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at DeJong's Funeral Home with the Rev. R. Terry Halstead officiating. Burial and military rites will be in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
