"Mrs. Isabel Oliver Dies at Age 95 - Charlevoix: Funeral services for Mrs. Isabel Oliver, 95, matriarch of area Indian families, were held at the Greensky Methodist Church at 2 p.m. today (Monday). The Rev. Elmer J. Faust officiated. Burial was in the Greensky Cemetery across Susan Lake from where Mrs. Oliver was born July 6, 1877. The former Isabel Willis, who as a child was educated at Carlisle, Pa, was married to Louis Francis in Hayes township in the early 1890s. He died a few years later, leaving her with five children to raise. In 1910 she was married to Joseph Oliver who preceded her in death in 1954. She was a member of the Greensky Methodist Church and its Women's Society of Christian Service. She had been in ill health since falling and fracturing her hip earlier this year. She died Friday at Grandvue Medical Care Facility where she had been a patient for two months. Surviving are four sons, Elliott Francis of Elmira and Reuben, Leonard and Jay Oliver of Charlevoix; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Marion) Olson of Sheboygan, Wis.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two brothers, John Willis of Bay Shore, and Enos Willis of Petoskey.
