Hubert Lee Bryant, 98, of Sparta, Tennessee went peacefully to be with the Lord, on Monday, July 18, 2016.
Mr. Bryant was born November 25, 1917, in White County, to John Douglas Bryant and Mollie Victoria Whitaker Bryant.

He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, sergeant in the 6th Calvary and Patton's 3rd Army serving his country 1940-1945.
Mr. Bryant was awarded a Purple Heart, three Bronze Stars and numerous other medals.
He also served in the C.C.C. (Civilian Conservation Corps). Mr. Bryant enjoyed his hobby of Model A cars, singing to family and friends and loving on his special cat Smokey.

He was also preceded in death by seven brothers; five sisters; and one half-brother.

Survivors include his beloved, and devoted wife
of 69 years, Martha Mae Payne Bryant; one brother, John Bryant, of Anderson, Indiana; daughters, Carolyn (Rodger) McCann,
Connie (Charles) Wood, of White County; grandchildren, Melody (Keith) Edmonds, Melissa ( Harmon) Hunsicker, of Goodlettsville, Jamie Wood, Amy (Chris) Smith, of White County; great-grandchildren, Kristin (Chris) Payne, Jacob, Lauren, Lindsey Hunsicker, of Goodlettsville, Lily Jordan; great-great-grandchildren, Meleah Payne, MaKaylee Payne; and a very special friend, Jere Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be July 22, 2016, at Thurman Funeral Home, with interment in Old Bon Air Cemetery. Bro. Rodger McCann will officiate.
