"Cornelius Treadlemire a life long resident of Gallupville died at the Binghamton State Hospital, Friday after a few weeks illness. Mr. Treadlemire had been sick some time before being admitted to the State Hospital. He was born in Gallupville fifty-one years ago and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Treadlemire. Several years ago he married Miss Laura Resue. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, one grandchild, one brother and two sisters. His funeral was held from the M. E. Church, Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. S. H. Evans officiated. Burial was made in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery at Schoharie." [The Cobleskill Index (Cobleskill, NY), Mar. 23, 1939, Page 6]
