Angela "Dee" Amici, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her home. She was born December 6, 1929 in Chicago, to Michael & Josephine (Geraci) Azzaro. On May 28, 1949 she married the late Anthony (Pat) Amici, in Chicago, IL.
Angela was very active in the McHenry Choral Club. She loved to sing and taught voice lessons in McHenry to students for over 50 years. She sang with the Lyric Opera in Chicago and for the last 40 years of her life she sang and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her children; daughter Linda (Bob) Joyce of McHenry; son, Michael (Marla) Amici of McHenry; son, Mark Amici of California; and daughter, Lisa (Ron) Leininger of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Vince (Kathleen) Azzaro; sister, Gerry (Arnie) Sambel; sister-in-law, Janet Azzaro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Richard Azzaro.
Funeral visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. Service will begin at 11:00am followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in to the Billy Graham Association, www.billygraham.org
