Mrs. Rosa Mae Wallace, age 86, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Camden (Wilcox Co.), Ala. She moved to Atmore at an early age and attended Ebenezer Lutheran School.

She was a retired employee from Atmore Nursing Care Center with over twenty-one years of service. She also was a caregiver for Dr. J. B. Thomas. She was a member of New Calvary Temple Holiness Church in Century, Fla. where she served as the Church Mother and a member of the Sunday school. She enjoyed singing,cooking, fishing, and was a Big Auburn Tiger Fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wallace; two sons, Narvie Lee Riley, Jr. and Samuel Riley; her parents, Nathaniel and Cora Freeman; siblings, Melvinia Chapman, Buford Mae Stots, Ida Mae Bonner, Mary Ruth Packer, Henry Freeman, and Allen Freeman.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by one daughter, Rosa Marie (Wamon) Davis of Atmore; three sons, Bobby (Mary) Riley, Bishop Dashwood (Nancy) Riley, and Nelson Riley all of Atmore; thirty-six grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Dashwood Riley, eulogist and Rev. Isaac Bradley, host pastor.

Interment will follow in Stallworth Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 from 2 – 8 p.m. with a Family Hour from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
