Lloyd Steven “Steve” Knisley was born on 19 June 1952, in Redwood Falls, Redwood County, Minnesota, to Lloyd and Evelyn Mude Knisley. He graduated from Cathedral High School in New Ulm in 1970; and, from Southwest State University in Marshall, with a degree in education.

Steve enjoyed sports and flowers. He was a very giving person and always put others before himself. Above all else, he loved his family. He frequently went back to New Ulm to visit his mother and he thought the world of his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters.

Lloyd Steven “Steve” Knisley, of Bloomington and formerly of New Ulm, died from natural causes, at the age of 61, on 01 July 2013, at his home in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Steve was survived by his mother, Evelyn Knisley of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Jami Knisley of Annandale; granddaughters, Saydee and Sicily; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Rodney Lunz of Shakopee, Norma and Pat Sagerhorn of Fergus Falls; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Patti Knisley of New Ulm; and, many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation was from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, in New Ulm, on Thursday, 11 July 2013.

Mass of Christian Burial immediately followed the visitation, with Father Matthew Wiering celebrating the Mass.
