Penny Jo Smith, 45, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016. She was born June 4, 1971 in Jacksonville, FL, where she lived most of her life except from 1990-1994 when she lived in North Carolina. Penny was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1989 and received a Bachelor's degree from Jones College. She attended Lannie Road Baptist Church, loved helping her boyfriend do drywall, cooking, outdoor activities, watching homemaking shows and will be dearly missed by all. Penny was predeceased by her mother, Wanda Mae Mills Guy and sister, Monica Griffin. Survivors include her son, Michael Smith; daughter, Mikayla Smith; boyfriend, Jesse Spicer; sister, Angela Young; former husband, Wesley Smith; numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30 at 11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, 32218, with Pastor Buddy Wimberly officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
