Charles' Will was filed, Paulding County Courthouse,
Paulding, Ohio, the day after his death. (Wills ~ Book 3)

He was a leading citizen in Paulding County, Ohio.
He filled the Offices, of School Director and Supervisor.
He farmed, 140 acres of land, in Carryall Township,
Paulding County, Ohio, for 40 years.

As a child, His Family left Connecticut, leaving behind
three Siblings, Emigrated to Ohio, in 1833. By 1835, the
Children were found bound to others. Charles, was
bound to Peter Blair. His Father, Lee Armstrong was
found on Enumeration Lists, 1834 and 1835, Noble
Township, Defiance County, Ohio.

For the 1840 Census, His Father, was working at a Lumber
Mill, owned by His Brother's, in Oakland County, Michigan.
He returned, to Ohio, paid debts owed, and took Charles to
Michigan. Leaving behind His Brother, George.

By 1843, the Family lived, in Wilmington Township, DeKalb
County, Indiana. Rabies, Malaria, Wolves, were all present,
In the early days. Abby's Parents held land there too.

On the 1850 Census, Charles, His Brother, George, along with
Mary, first thought George's Wife, now believed His Sister.
She was also found on another Census, so She couldn't have
been with them, in Noble Township, Defiance Co, Ohio.

Married - Abby Jane Handy - 15 of September, 1850
Children - Lorenzo Leroy, Charles Lee, Caroline Mary
(Corlin), Coe John, Frank Henry, Emma Edna, and
Adalia Jane (Ada). Abby, went by, Jane, found on
Birth and Census Records.

Abby was buried, in Forder Cemetery, 2 miles West of
their farm. Newspaper article, dated 28 January 1892,
Charles gave to United Brethern Church, 1/8 Acre Land,
where Abby was buried, and now believed Charles, too.
Part of their farm land. No stone, for Charles, has ever
been found.

Married to Lydia VanDoren, in 1893, according to their
Marriage Record, from Paulding County, Ohio. Her Last
Name was actually VanDyne.
