James Carl Shields, 67, died Tuesday at UNC Hospitals at Chapel Hill, NC.
Mr. Shields, born in Moore County, was the son of the late Robert and Ruby Shields. In addition to his parents he was also preceded by brothers, W.C. Shields, Frank Shields, Paul Shields; and sisters, Laverne Shields Ritter and Vera Mae Shields Maness.
He is survived by a brother, Clyde Shields and sister, Clara Louise Shields of Robbins, NC.
