Lavina Brown, the oldest resident of Burgess neighborhood, passed away Thursday at her home northwest of town. She had been living for a long time with her son, L. F. Brown, who was the only one at her bedside when the end came. Funeral services were held Sunday at the local church at 11 a. m., with Rev. J. E. Agens officiating. Music was furnished by Bernice Morrow, Mr. and Mrs. Fred McLaughlin and Harold McCrary; Miss Palmer, accompanist. Burial was made in the Norwood cemetery.
