Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m., in the St. John's Catholic Church for Mrs. Anna Pepino Magdalena, 81, who died Tuesday. Rev. Herman Foken will officiate and burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Mills Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Lester Hendershot, L. G. Murphy, Vernon Bee, Paul Naush, Larry Fassino and Marion Lenardo. Bible vigil is set for 7:30 o'clock tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Magdalena, who lived at 401 West Jackson, was a retired secretary. She was employed as secretary and bookkeeper at the Humphrey Funeral Home, retiring in 1960. She was born in Aridonna, Italy, Feb. 6, 1897. She came from Italy to the United States in 1900, settling in Krebs. She was married to Adolphus S. Magdalena Oct. 4, 1920. Her husband preceded her in death in March of 1937. Mrs. Magdalena was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a past president, District No. 3, of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Sam Magdalena of Krebs and Phillip Magdalena of McAlester; two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Anderson of McAlester and Mrs. Mickey Miraglio of Krebs; a brother, Mike Pepino of Northville, Mich., and four grandchildren.
