Werner Dubs
Werner Dubs, 76 years old, 335 Morgan Oak, died at 6 a.m. today in a hospital here. A retired baker, Mr. Dubs had worked for Bauer, Bamby and Master Baking companies.
He came to Cape Girardeau in 1920, from Kuttigen, Switzerland, where he was born on June 14, 1896. For 12 years he lived in Los Angeles, Calif., but moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1953.
In 1920 he was married to the former Miss Martha Harrie in New York, N. Y., and she preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 1940.
Surviving are two sons, Louis W. Dubs, Belleville, III., and Martin Dubs, Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Mrs. Olga Frey, Mrs. O'Tilla Steiner and Mrs. Selma Frey, all of Kuttigen, and eight grandchildren.
The body is at Walther's Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 Sunday afternoon.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Monday afternoon at the funeral home. The Rev. Ernest L. Jordan, pastor of Evangelical United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
