MISHAWAKA - Joan G. Hutchison, 81 years old, passed away at 10:30 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Golden Living - Fountainview, Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on December 29, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Elmer and Dorothy (Hartz) Findley and remained a lifelong resident. On August 1, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana Joan was united in marriage to William Hutchison, Sr. who preceded her in death on May 21, 2005.
Mrs. Hutchison is survived by her daughter, Gale Zollinger (Steve Dohner) of Three Oaks, MI; and her son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” and Pam Hutchison; great grandchildren, Brandon Scarberry, Jason Hutchison and Sakari Sparks; sisters, Connie (Pat Mann) Findley and Diane (late Sherwin) Oxley both of South Bend; and her brother, Don (Mary Jo) Findley of Chicago.
Joan attended Church of Christ. She retired in 2000 after 28 years of service at Curtis Products.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, August 12, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM Friday until time of services at the funeral home.
