Betty (Bengta in Sweden) was the oldest daughter of Anna and Johannes. She was 16 when she left home to work as a housemaid in a neighboring town. In 1888 she gave birth to Christina. A few months later she left Christina with hr parents and immigrated to America. Betty settled in Chicago and found work as a seamstress at Marshall Fields Department Store. With the money she saved, she brought her two brothers and two of her sisters and her daughter to America. Betty married Otto Olson in 1910. Otto bought a farm in Finley, North Dakota, and they moved there. Betty died of a heart attack at the farm.
