Mildred Patten Beasley, loving mother and grandmother, age 90, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008.

Mildred, known to one and all as "Granny," was born January 21, 1918, in Rains County, Texas, to Bettie Louis Foster Patten and Lloyd Hayden Patten. She was the youngest of their five children. Mildred married T.W. "Tom" Beasley, also of Rains County, on June 7, 1935. Together, they established Beasley's Jewelry in Lewisville, Texas in 1948. The business remains in family hands to this day in Old Town Lewisville.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband; and is survived by her daughters, Bettie Butler of The Woodlands, Texas, and Martha Zuspan Newland of Flower Mound, Texas; four grandchildren, Deborah Wright of Sandy, Oregon; Lisa Dubberley of Lantana, Texas; Jennifer Coleman and Katherine Brem both of Houston, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Jessica Wright, Abbe and Alle Hopkins, Zachary and Thomas Coleman, and Graham and Sullivan Brem.

A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Mildred Beasley's honor to the American Cancer Society.
