SCHAFER, Mrs. Kathryn Louise Schafer, age 86, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, brothers Alfred and Robert Knoper and her sister Donna Foy. She is survived by her children Louise B Tolodziecki of Hudsonville, Phillip F. Schafer and Francis (Bernadette) Schafer, all of Allendale. Also surviving are four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11AM at St. James Catholic Church, 733 Bridge NW with interment in Rosedale Memorial Park. Friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 7-9PM at Heritage Lifestory Funeral Homes- Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association Northwest Chapter, 213 Sheldon Blvd SE, 49503.
