Miss Lucas, who was a native of Missouri, was taken ill about a years ago and for the last few months was a helpless invalid.
Her only surviving relative is her brother, John Lucas, with whom she made her home. John Lucas and his sisters, "Blind Mary," a famous fortune teller who attracted people to Belleville from far and wide for many years, and Amanda Lucas lived together for half a century. Neither married and each was devoted to the other.
The funeral of Miss Lucas takes place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family hoem to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
