Joan Laconca 81, born 21 Dec 1934. Native of Long Island City, New York, passed away 25 Aug 2016 after a six year battle with cancer. She was retired from Civil Service and had worked many years at Wilford Hall Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas. The family would like to extend our deepest heartfelt gratitude and a special thank you, to the physicians and nursing staff that took wonderful care of her at NE Methodist. At her request, there will be no service and internment in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
