She worked at AT&T in Fairfield for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling with family and gardening. Maxima was also a long time member of the Filipino-American Association in Fairfield. She was also a member of Euchristic Ministry at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Hand Maids of the Lord and Legion of Mary.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Almia De Los Santos (Dr. Ruben De Los Santos); grandchildren, Roel (Jen), Myrene (David), Rommel (Julie), Rico (Rhonda); and great-grandchildren, Dante, Devon, Dominic, Julie, Carina, Lucia, Keira and Kaleb; as well as many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Maxima was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Abalos; brothers, Emiliano and Domingo; and sisters: Juana, Marcelina, Jovita and Conchita.
