PARENTS: Ernest Archibald and Margaret Ann (Phillips) Dangerfield (both deceased)

Phyllis was a graduate of South High School in Murray where she smartly took several business classes which helped prepare her to take the Civil Service exam. She passed with 98% accuracy and was told that she "could have any job she wanted".

Her first job was as a lead secretary at the Veterans Administration during and post-WWII. There, Phyllis was charged with determining which wounded veterans qualified for disability. Ten years later, Phyllis went to work at the IRS, in their Appellate Division. She was tasked with assisting the lawyers who tried taxpayers' appeals cases and presented with "Letters of the Highest Recommendation" by them after ten years' service. Lastly, Phyllis was hired as the secretary to the Chief Accountant at Mountain Fuel Supply where she worked eight more years.

CHILDREN (2): David Alan Goodwill (born November 24, 1936), of Salt Lake City and Deanna Jean Goodwill (born December 31, 1938 - deceased, 2006); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

After her divorce, Phyllis and her children moved into her childhood home. There, the three wounded souls were surrounded by her parents' love, kindness, music, and support.

Phyllis was very proud of her children and their talents in singing and tap dancing. She beamed when they won a contest in 1953 and traveled to New York City where they appeared on the Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour show. Phyllis was unselfish when it came to helping her family. Her dedication was evident as Phyllis continued to care for her ailing daughter even into her late eighties.

SERVICES held ... followed by interment in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
