Phyllis K. McBreairty, 69, died May 15, 1989 at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born at Allagash, Feb. 11, 1920, the daughter of Leonard and Caroline (Hafford) Kelly. She was a member of the Allagash Historical Society. She loved and was loved by her husband, children and grandchildren. She was compassionate friend to the sick and elderly in the community. Her favorite pastime was playing her guitar and singing hymns. She is survived by her husband, Elmer of Allagash; five daughters, Vicki Hafford and Cora Puckett, both of Allagash, Sandra Connors and Carol Connors , both of St. Francis and Carla Nashwinter of Eliot; one son Woody McBreairty of Los Angeles, Calif., five brothers, Guy and John Kelly, both of Allagash, George Kelly of St. John, Jasper Kelly of New Milford, Conn., and William Kelly of Florida; two sisters, Mina McBreairty and Nellie Kelly both of Allagash; 15 grandchildren.
