Edward Berezny, 65, of 1201 Butztown Road, Bethlehem, died Friday in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Helen (Chando) Berezny.

He worked in the maintenance department of Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 20 years before retiring in 1983. From 1967 to 1983 he owned and operated the New Armour House, Bethlehem. He also owned the Washington Bowling Lanes, Bethlehem.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John Sr. and Mary (Billetz) Berezny.

He was a member and treasurer of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite, Bethlehem.

He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Allentown Council.

Surviving with his widow are a son, Edward L. of Bethlehem; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Anne Smith of Springfield, Va.; two brothers, John of Coopersburg and William of Hellertown; and a granddaughter.

Services at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, will be followed by a Mass of Requiem at 10 a.m. in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
