Henry County Local---December 29, 1939
John James, Bethlehem, died at the Shelbyville Hosipital Saturday night. Although physicians were somewhat puzzled by his illness, it was believed to have been typhoid fever.
He is survived by his wife; three children, one, seven and nine years old; his parents: Mr. and Mrs. W. T. James; a brother, Herbert James; and other near relatives.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
