Frances Anne Biggs Elliott, age 80, of Beaver, WV, passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on Thursday, September 1, 2016, after a short illness.

Born on September 30, 1935, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Bert Biggs and Nellie Hall Biggs and had lived for many years in Piney View.

Mrs. Elliott retired from the Raleigh County Board of Education as an aide on the school bus for handicapped students. She was a member of Gospel Chapel in Daniels. She was one who could make you laugh when you were down.

Mrs. Elliott was a dedicated wife, loving mother and doting grandmother. She was a caretaker to the special needs of children on her bus.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by brothers, Carl D. Biggs, Jack D. Biggs, by sister, Nancy K. Biggs Walls Dixon, and by an infant brother, Samuel E. Biggs. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 49 years, Krum Elliott; daughter, Vicki Elliott Newcomb and her husband, Gary, of Beaver; two grandchildren, Selena Kaelyne McClung and Madison Rae McClung, two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 1 PM with her nephew, Rev. Randy Biggs officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Southern West Virginia for their care.
