He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence & Beulah May Powell; wife Peggy Powell; daughter Kathy Powell; 2 brothers Thomas and Bobby Powell; 2 sisters Barbara Combs and Kathleen Humphrey.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Monday 9/12/16 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY with Rev. Mike Demoss officiating.
Visitation will be 2-6 PM Sunday and 11 AM Monday until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
