Thomas enlisted in the Marines 10 October 1968 and arrived in Vietnam 15 April 1969, where he was assigned to Hotel Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
It was while at FSB Russell that Thomas became ill with pneumonia and a urinary
tract infection and was med-evac, at 1200H, 23 July 1969 and was being given medical treatment aboard the USNH USS Repose when he died, at appoximatley 0967H, 28 July 1969 as a result of severe pneumonia with renal failure.
Survived by his parents, Daniel Judson and Barbara E Callaghan and his 2 brothers, Daniel Judson and Robert Joseph of 216 Park Lane, Atherton, California.
