Clarence ''Bud'' Taylor age 80 of Canton, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Weston, WV. on April 5, 1921 he was the son of the late, Lewis B. Taylor and Cora (Woods) Taylor. He had resided in Canton for the past 50 years and was a veteran of World War Two serving in the European Theater with the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of the Timken Co., retiring in 1983 after 32 years of service. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene of Canton and was preceded in death by seven sisters, Willa, Grace, Ruby, Janice, Naomi, Annabelle and Ruth, also three brothers, Clifford, Carl and Charles, three half brothers, Carrol, Lester and Cecil and a grandson, Nathan Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Taylor of the home, to whom he had been married for 54 years. His daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Wade Dillon of Louisville and his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Nancy Taylor of Canton. Three grandsons, Ben and Steve Dillon and Ryan Taylor and granddaughter, Amanda Dillon. Three half brothers, Claude, Cledith and Coye Taylor all of Weston, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Long officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
