Elvin, "Blutch" was born in Mill Creek, Utah in a 2 room brick house located on 5th East, just a few rods north of the old 15th South. (This house & the 5 acres of ground belonged to his Grandfather, Hugh D. Park & his Uncle William Park farmed the ground. His Grandfather Park was wealthy also, he owned several bands of sheep and many of the smaller tracts of land.

His Grandfather Rogers was a carpenter & he worked on the Salt Lake Temple. He also worked on many of the business buildings in downtown Salt Lake and built several private homes. His father bought some sheep in Idaho & for a few years he & Uncle Hugh ran their sheep together on Taylor Mountain in the summer & in the winter fed hay on one of the farms in the valley.

Elvin married Gladys Buffington in Dillon, Montana.

Elvin was not drafted into the military, because he was married, but he had 3 brothers who served their country.

So Elvin went to work in the shipyards in Ban Coves, Washington, but the job proved to be too hard for him, so he came back to Idaho.

Elvin died 18 January 1973 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
