In Memory of
James,son of John Kirk who died
at Dulquhairn cottage,Irongrey
14th April 1842 aged 4 months.
And Janet Duff,wife of the said John Kirk,
who died there 17th March 1843 aged 28 years.
Also Joseph Kirk his son,who died in
Manchester 13th May 1875 aged 20 years.
Shed not for him the bitter tear,
Nor give the heart to vain regret
Tis but the casket that lies here,
The gem that fills it sparkles yet.
Also Janet Crocket,wife of John Kirk
who died at Holywood Village 10th
December 1880 aged 59 years.
And Catherine their daughter who
died there 14th Jan'y 1885 aged 24 years.
Also the said John Kirk who died at
Lochfoot,Lochrutton 9th Dec.1891
aged 83 years.
